Process Improvement Engineer
Base salary to $80K, DOE. Major integrated forest products firm in Oregon is seeking a qualified Industrial Engineer to focus on improving all phases of the operation using key quantitative manufacturing variables. This job reports directly to the plant manager and exposes the selected candidate to working with all personnel in the plant. Position requires a BS degree in IE or an equivalent education. Major focus is on the use of statistical tools. Candidates should be able to design machine center experimental trials and work with quality control, engineering, maintenance, PLC programmers, and operations personnel. Selected candidate must have a positive track record in current or past manufacturing plant operations. Key skillset includes: budget and cost controls, multi-shift supervision and operator training, maintenance coordination, etc. Selected candidate should have 3 plus years power plant supervision in either offshore or onshore site locations. Base salary to $100K, DOE. Major integrated lumber company in the Southeast is seeking a skilled PLC tech in lumber operations optimization improvements. Selected candidate will oversee/train electricians and PLC techs in troubleshooting and routine maintenance support issues at multiple sawmill sties. Responsibilities also include designing and implementing improved control systems at the sites. This position reports directly to the regional manager and includes direct interface with major PLC vendors.
