Mid-South / South-East Sawmill Equipment Sales Manager
Annual potential income can exceed $140,000. Major North American machinery manufacturer is seeking a skilled sales manager to support existing customer accounts and expand new business sales throughout the sawmill customer base, both softwoods and hardwoods. Selected candidate should have 5 plus years of successful sawmill equipment sales experience and be able to improve machine design specs between customers and manufacturers. Location is manager’s home office with significant support from the vendor’s manufacturing center. Travel and home office costs, including equipment show displays, paid by employer. Lumber Operations Production Superintendent
Base compensation to $110,000 plus. Due to a recent promotion, a major US based integrated forest products producer is seeking a skilled manager to oversee all phases of the operation, from log yard to lumber shipping operations at a multi-mill conversion site in the Pacific NW. The focus is on improving KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) with an emphasis on safety and operator cross training. Demonstrated leadership skills within an existing sawmill complex are essential. Lumber Quality Control Supervisor
Base compensation to $88,000 plus. Pacific NW integrated sawmill and plywood complex is seeking to improve raw material quality control issues from the log yard (sorting) to final lumber shipping. Selected candidate should have solid analytical skills in all phases of structural lumber production including log-grade to lumber recover achievements. Key strengths include computing RTL (Return to Log) values, WWPA grading agency specs, leadership and teamwork skills, machine target sizes, moisture control procedures and use of Excel, optimization and simulation software. Four year degree desirable.

Specialty Lumber and Post Products… Mill Operations Manager

NY State based independent forest products company is seeking a manager to oversee all phases of a 30 MMBF sawmill operation from log receiving to shipping. Selected candidate must have a skillset focused on abilities to oversee all phases of daily operations. Corporate Engineering Manager
Base salary to $140,000 and overall compensation package negotiable. Our client, a major bioenergy industrial equipment design, fabricator and installer, is seeking an engineering candidate to oversee the project engineering, design and support staff functions.
This newly created position requires a degreed engineer with unique engineering management skills, a talent to interface with the potential customers; sales, fabrication and assembly staff besides the department's engineers and designers. The department has computer based resources including AutoCAD, Inventor, MS Office and general engineering software (electrical and mechanical) to support a focus on streamlining the process towards simplifying and shortening the engineering costs for specific projects. Current concerns relate to high engineering costs and loss of potential customer sales due to time delays from initial specs to final drawings. Projects range from $1M to $60M in value. Considering current moderate economic conditions, the firm's market segment is growing globally.
The selected candidate will focus on increasing project throughput while maintaining high engineering design quality, equipment safety, efficiencies and reliability.
