Administrative Positions

Procurement Forester
Mid-size softwood sawmill is seeking to hire a college graduate to oversee log procurement operations of 25MMBF per year from private, county and state landowners. Duties include developing new and existing suppliers by conducting site visits, monitoring published timber sales, and providing timely and accurate reports on purchases to the owner/operator. This opportunity is ideal for a forester with a recent 4 year degree who has worked in Northeastern or Midwestern woodland operations during summer months while securing a forestry degree. Sawmill Site Controller
Base salary to $80K, plus incentives. Southeast sawmill complex is seeking a skilled plant controller, reporting to the plant manager, to supervise all phases of financial reporting, month-end closings, inventory and operations analysis, and annual budget preparations. Selected candidate must have a 4 year degree in business and 3+ years of accounting in a manufacturing setting. Sales and Marketing Positions

Panelboard OEM/Industrial Regional Sales Manager
Base salary to $95K, plus a 50% performance bonus package above the base. Major structural panelboard producer is seeking a candidate skilled in selling/marketing to existing accounts as well as securing new industrial customers in the Mid-Western and the Mid-Southern regions of the US. Selected candidate must have a 4-year degree in business or related field, and a positive track record in panelboard sales to OEM and other industrial customers in the Central US. Key skills include being a self-starter, and the ability to develop strong relationships with existing and potential industrial end-use customers (such as RV, mobile home, truck bed, and flush door manufacturers). Candidate must also be able to maximize sales productivity through solid time management in a home-based office environment. (Search Assignment #6402) 

Biomass Processing Stationary Equipment Key Accounts Manager

Major mobile biomass processing equipment firm in the Midwest is seeking to expand their engineering services and equipment lines into serving the growing and expanding biomass processing markets in the U.S. and overseas.

Lumber Manufacturing Superintendent
Base salary to $105K DOE, plus bonus package. Major US based softwood lumber producer in the Upper Midwest is seeking a skilled candidate to oversee all phases of lumber manufacturing, from log receipts to finished product shipping. Plant has installed state-of-the-art, high tech equipment with a focus on lumber recovery and productivity. Cogen Superintendent
Base compensation to $95K DOE. West Coast wood products producer is seeking a skilled manager to oversee fuel procurement, steam and power generation at an integrated forest products complex. Responsibilities include… total supervision, continuous plant improvement (including a focus on safety) and uptime preventative maintenance. Skillset for the selected candidate includes 5 years of successful shift supervision in power generation. Candidates who are US Navy vets with shipboard experience are encouraged to call for details. Maintenance and Support Positions

Panelboard Maintenance Manager
Base salary to $115K, DOE plus bonus. West Coast panel producer is seeking to upgrade all portions of the preventative maintenance operations within a high technology, robotics focused, high-speed manufacturing operation. Selected candidate should have a technical 4 yr degree and at least 5 yrs of maintenance supervision experience, where improving unscheduled downtime is a priority. Key candidate attributes include a focus on predictive/preventative maintenance procedures, and maintenance support staff training for 40 plus employees. Client’s key focus is selecting a candidate with leadership skills and a track record of a culture towards more self-directed preventative maintenance services. Preferred skillset includes CMMS, AutoCAD, PLC, and an automation track record. Cogen Power Plant Control Systems Engineer
Base compensation to $105K, plus attractive benefit package. Forest products firm seeking a skilled candidate to oversee all phases of electrical systems maintenance, including a focus on system upgrades utilizing the latest technology. Millwrights, Electricians and Electronic Techs for Pacific NW and Southeast Forest Products Mills: $21-$30/hr, plus Overtime Benefits
Attention NCO Vets: Skilled mechanical and electrical NCO techs serving in the USN or USAF.....  Due to the pending retirements of maintenance technicians within our client companies, a critical need exists for skilled technicians with preventative maintenance skills to service high-tech mill operations. Engineering Positions

Electrical Engineering Manager
Base salary to $150K DOE, plus bonus package. Major multi-plant forest products firm, with 15 plus facilities in the U.S., requires a skilled, results-oriented manager to oversee all phases of design, build, install, and maintain small to large EE projects within a central engineering and construction management department. Projects range in scope from 12.5KV to PLC and robotics applications. Selected candidate must have a BSEE and 5+ years of electrical engineering design, vendor contract negotiations, installation, and start-up management experience within a manufacturing plant environment. A successful track record in managing multiple projects through a small engineering staff (10 plus) is essential. Professional Engineer accreditation is preferred. Our Client is focused on capital-based projects where attractive ROI values are the goal for senior management. A positive track record in working closely with maintenance and operational hourly and management personnel is essential. Industrial Software Engineer
Base salary to $100K, plus excellent benefit and bonus package. Major integrated forest products firm with eight plus high-tech plants in the Western U.S. is seeking a skilled candidate to research and develop software to improve lumber recovery and production on new and used machine centers at all locations. Working within a centralized engineering design and fabrication center, our client has been focusing on the design, fabrication and startup of leading-edge wood machining technology.

Selected candidate must have a BS in Computer Science or Engineering and a thorough understanding of geometrics, complex algorithms, analytical problem solving and C++. 3D AutoCAD computer-based design applications are the norm within the center. Candidate should also have strong communication skills. Candidate should have at least five years of demonstrated results in optimizing industrial product processing equipment. Experience beyond wood products could include food, metal, paper and other related fields of high speed continuous processing applications. Our client is a leader in being able to uniquely optimize machine design through its staff of control system designers and mechanical engineers. Well established forest product project engineering consulting firm in the NW is seeking skilled talent to service new clients focused on efficiently converting logs to lumber. Projects range from preliminary design to final design, construction and startups. CAD Designers can make $3,500+ per week, Project Engineers $4,500+ per week.
