Sales and Marketing Positions

Panel Products Inside Mill Sales Representative
Annual base compensation to $80,000 DOE plus bonus. Major multi-plant panel producer is seeking a 4 yr college graduate with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Selected candidate will join a company focused on providing world-class service in a sales environment that maximizes the services for their customers using a wide selection of panel products. Key skill sets include a strong customer service orientation and use of MS Excel/sales order/logistics software. Candidate must be a self-starter… have a positive demeanor… be able to multi-task… and understand the sense of urgency in servicing the customer’s needs. Note: our client is continually focused on promoting from within. Production & General Management Positions

Southeastern US Green Sawmill Operation Managers 
Annual compensation to $70,000 DOE plus bonus package. Private multi-site lumber and pallet company, with site operations in Alabama and Georgia, seeking qualified candidates with a successful track record as a green lumber shift supervisor, superintendent or plant manager, to oversee all phases of log receiving to shipping of lumber and pallet stock. Selected candidate must have at least 5 years of shift operations and maintenance supervision experience. This is an excellent opportunity to advance in a fast growing forest products business unit. Selected candidate must have solid leadership and communications skills in supervising a 30+ person sawmill operation. (Search Assignment #6349)

Specialty Lumber and Post Products… Mill Operations Manager
Compensation is competitive based on experience and includes an attractive performance bonus. NY State based independent forest products company is seeking a manager to oversee all phases of a 30 MMBF sawmill operation from log receiving to shipping. Selected candidate must have a skillset focused on abilities to oversee all phases of daily operations. Over time, the operation will be expanded to double current output of this profitable business owned by an absentee owner. Selected candidate must have demonstrated experience in leadership, training, safety, maintenance, process improvement, capital budgeting, and long-term planning in log-to-green lumber conversion and/or post pealing businesses. This unique opportunity affords the selected candidate to manage a business unit with significant upside potential over the long-term. Solid communication skills are necessary so the selected candidate can work well with the absentee owner, hourly employees, log suppliers and key customers. (Search Assignment #6340)

Structural Lumber Operations Manager
Base salary to $110,000 DOE, plus significant bonus package. Our Pacific NW client is seeking a skilled manager to oversee and manage multi-plant remanufacturing operations. Responsibilities include operator training, scheduling, quality control, preventative maintenance with a focus on lean manufacturing improvements. Proven leadership skills in managing structural lumber processing, plywood, I-Joist, or finger-joint operations are desireable. Selected candidate must be a team player with a proven track record in continuous improvement and safety. Production is planned to ramp up from 2 to 4MMBF/week in 2015. (Search Assignment #6332)

 

Maintenance and Support Positions

Process Control Analyst / Maintenance Supervisor
Compensation to $100,000. Upper Midwest softwood sawmill complex is seeking a qualified candidate to oversee softwood upgrades on Allen Bradley and Schneider PLC’s, focused on machine optimizations. Tasks include improving the efficiency, uptime, recovery and accuracy of the mill by controlling the process automation systems. This will be accomplished by maintaining, improving, trouble-shooting, gathering information from the PLCs, electro mechanical devices, VFDs, servo positioning devices, HMIs, Sercos servo drives, instrumentation optimization software, measurement gathering systems, and moister collection systems (MC Pro- Signature Controls Systems) within the sawmill and planer complex. 

Selected candidate will supervise and direct assigned maintenance functions, oversee day-to-day maintenance of plant equipment and organize/monitor work order processes. Candidate will also support the role of Maintenance Superintendent and serve as backup, filling in when Superintendent is absent. (Search Assignment #6351)

Boiler Chief / Kiln Operator
Compensation to $80,000 plus. Due to pending retirement, Upper Midwest softwood lumber production complex is seeking a skilled supervisor to oversee all phases of steam production and dry kiln operations. Tasks include operating boiler system and kilns in a safe, environmentally and quality focused manner... maintaining environmental compliance through technical competence and operation leadership... leading and coordinating operation and maintenance for the boiler/kiln and plant heating systems... and maximizing lumber quality through new drying innovations.

Navy vets with steam propulsion experience are encouraged to respond to this job opening. 5+ years of steam production supervision are essential. Other requirements include use of MS Excel and Word. (Search Assignment #6350)

Veneer Mill Maintenance Superintendent
Annual salary to $95,000. West Coast veneer plant owned by multi-plant plywood corporation seeking a results oriented leader to advance preventative maintenance procedures and to increase training and safety skills of millwrights and electricians. Other responsibilities include machinery upgrades in the state-of-the-art high production mill complex. Selected candidate should have sound leadership and organizational skills. Current superintendent is about to retire in early 2015. (Search Assignment #6347)

Millwrights, Electricians and Electronic Techs for Pacific NW Mills: $20-$30/hr
Attention Retiring NCO’s..…  Skilled mechanical and electrical NCO techs serving in the USN or USAF.....  Due to the pending retirements of maintenance technicians within our client companies, a critical need exists for skilled technicians with preventative maintenance skills to service high-tech mill operations. R & D / Engineering / Technical Positions

Corporate Engineering Manager
Base salary to $140,000 and overall compensation package negotiable. Our client, a major bioenergy industrial equipment design, fabricator and installer, is seeking an engineering candidate to oversee the project engineering, design and support staff functions.

This newly created position requires a degreed engineer with unique engineering management skills, a talent to interface with the potential customers; sales, fabrication and assembly staff besides the department's engineers and designers. The department has computer based resources including AutoCAD, Inventor, MS Office and general engineering software (electrical and mechanical) to support a focus on streamlining the process towards simplifying and shortening the engineering costs for specific projects. Current concerns relate to high engineering costs and loss of potential customer sales due to time delays from initial specs to final drawings. Projects range from $1M to $60M in value. Considering current moderate economic conditions, the firm's market segment is growing globally.

The selected candidate will focus on increasing project throughput while maintaining high engineering design quality, equipment safety, efficiencies and reliability. The need is to increase engineering design simplicity utilizing advance computer based system approaches, trained and motivated personnel, allowing existing system designs to be incorporated into future projects. Project engineering man-hour levels must be reduced to increase project throughput with existing personnel.
