Sales and Marketing Positions
EWP Sales & Marketing Manager
Base compensation to $120,000 DOE, plus 25% bonus package. Emerging engineered wood products company requires skilled professional to oversee all phases of sales and marketing of a $50MM/year business unit, with a potential to exceed $200MM/year in sales over the next five years. Selected candidate will have tactical implementation of programs focused on new customer development and growing services for existing customers throughout the US. Candidate must have 12 plus years in combined sales and sales management. Success in this position requires exceptional leadership, analytical, managerial, interpersonal, and project management skills. (Search Assignment #6379)
Operations Management Positions
Sawmill Plant Managers
Base compensation to $120,000 plus. Several clients in the Northwest are starting up new sawmill operations investing $20 MM plus. Selected candidates must have a proven track record in sawmill startups including operator training with a focus on safety.
Lumber Operations Production Superintendent
Base compensation to $110,000 plus. Due to a recent promotion, a major US based integrated forest products producer is seeking a skilled manager to oversee all phases of the operation, from log yard to lumber shipping operations at a multi-mill conversion site in the Pacific NW. The focus is on improving KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) with an emphasis on safety and operator cross training. Demonstrated leadership skills within an existing sawmill complex are essential. Knowledge and use of MS Word, Excel, lumber tracking and the use of CMMS are also essential for the selected candidate. (Search Assignment #6353)
Lumber Quality Control Supervisor
Base compensation to $88,000 plus. Pacific NW integrated sawmill and plywood complex is seeking to improve raw material quality control issues from the log yard (sorting) to final lumber shipping. Selected candidate should have solid analytical skills in all phases of structural lumber production including log-grade to lumber recover achievements. Key strengths include computing RTL (Return to Log) values, WWPA grading agency specs, leadership and teamwork skills, machine target sizes, moisture control procedures and use of Excel, optimization and simulation software. Four year degree desirable.

Maintenance and Support Positions
Sawmill Maintenance Superintendents
Base compensation to $110,000, plus attractive bonus and health package. Our sawmill clients, based in Alabama and Georgia, are seeking skilled personnel to oversee all phases of lumber operations maintenance. Key skill set includes safety, preventative maintenance of all operations, use of CMMS, millwright and electrical cross training, parts inventory, purchasing and control. Two or four year degree preferred, but not essential. Selected candidates do not need experience in forest products manufacturing. Sawfiler Systems Supervisor
Weekly income $3,500, plus travel expenses. Successful timber/sawmill consulting firm with annual sales exceeding $4 M, is seeking to expand staff with a highly experienced supervisor skilled in setting up round and double cut band saw filing rooms and hiring/training operators in a safe manner for client companies throughout the U.S. and offshore. Owner has demonstrated success in designing, constructing and starting up new and upgraded hardwood/softwood sawmill complexes. Well established forest product project engineering consulting firm in the NW is seeking skilled talent to service new clients focused on efficiently converting logs to lumber. Projects range from preliminary design to final design, construction and startups. CAD Designers can make $3,500+ per week, Project Engineers $4,500+ per week.
